This tapestry is titled "Lago Titicaca" and is made by David Montes. It is a limited edition tapestry from a series of 21 that David Montes has commenced in 2004 and is still in production. This is superb example of the quality work by David Montes. It took 28 days to complete this incredible tapestry. The tapestry is a tight weave of very high quality depicting Andean life on Lake Titicaca. Notice the individual reeds along the bottom of the tapestry as well as the totora or "reed boat" with its reflection in the backround. This is an incredible scene and a truly difficult tapestry to create, simply a remarkable tapestry. The measurements of "Lago Titicaca" are 27"H x 40"L.
