This tapestry is titled "Hariero Por Los Caminos" and is made by Hover Montes. It is a limited edition tapestry from a series of 15 that Hover Montes has commenced in 2007 and is still in production. This is a wonderful tapestry which took 31 days to complete. The tapestry is a tight weave of very high quality depicting Andean life. The herdsman or "Hariero" in this scene is hauling loads of maize and potatos on his llamas, a very typical scene where the lead llama has a bell tied to her in order for the others to follow, notice along the bottom of the tapestry the remarkable detail of the rocks and pasture. This is an incredible scene of an unusually large size for this type of tight weave and a truly difficult tapestry to create. The measurements of "Hariero Por Los Caminos" are 39"H x 38"L.
